At Hartswell Farm, we have been involved in providing accommodation for the disabled for 15 years, and enjoyed meeting many people from all walks of life.

We aim in The Stables, to cater for a wide range of mobility needs, and particularly for those with higher dependency, whilst offering the farm experience, outside the window, and closer.

All the rooms will accommodate visitors in wheelchairs, but the twin room in particular, has the electric profiling adjustable bed, with ceiling hoist above, leading to the ensuite bathroom, which now has an electronic bidet. The double room has the shower room with wet floor, and wheeled shower chair.

Much of the lighting is turned on/off by movement, but the twin room switch is manually controlled.

Interior doors slide across to aid access, but outside are double-swinging. There are no steps or steep slopes. There is cooking for all in the kitchen. To help us prepare for your arrival, we send a form, for your individual requirements e.g. work-top heights, toilet raiser, help with shopping, towel hire etc.

On ARRIVAL, we are nearby and on the phone, to help with luggage, and we always show you the accommodation, and welcome you with drinks and Cornish cake, with our eggs for later.
